For a high school junior or senior on her way to college to major in evolutionary science or some derivative thereof, the two books I would recommend for summer reading (and re-reading) before going to college:

- The Mistaken Extinction: Dinosaur Evolution And The Origin Of Birds, Lowell Dingus And Timothy Rowe. c. 1998.
