The Great War and Modern Memory, Paul Fussell

Updates

September 15, 2012: Peggy Noonan is the best Ronald-Reagan-conservative writer right now. She appears weekly in the Saturday edition of the Wall Street Journal. In her outstanding op-ed piece today, she has a very long section devoted to Paul Fussell's The Great War and Modern Memory. The number of people who read Ms Noonan's op-ed piece who had also read Paul Fussell's masterpiece can be probably be counted on one hand.
